How do we add a quantity selector to the product grid and list view?

We have a requirement to add a selector where customers can indicate the quantity of the product they want to order before selecting "Add to Cart" in the list or grid view (catalog or search) in b2baccelerator. It seems to be part of Add To Cction but doesn't appear if you add the action to the Product List Component in the Product List Slot for Product List.
Please, does anyone know what we are missing here?
