Hello, I am using the free trial of SAP Marketing Cloud. I am trying to figure out how interests are created and defined.
In the Administration Guide (https://help.sap.com/viewer/ac1eab4c66bc490da7ac2c378c46b0e7/1911.500/en-US/cffbc054daea6474e1000000...) i read:
"In Manage Interests you can set up and manage interests. An interest represents the content or subject of an interaction with a contact. "
But I can't find a way to access this "Manage Interests". Is it an app? How do I open it?
Basicaly, what I want to understand is where are interest in the cloud coming from? Also, how do I link web browsing data collected with Google analytics to the interests ?
Thanks!

Hi,
SAP Marketing Cloud trial offers very limited functionality. In general, they don't allow to create any system config or interaction data using App or API. Therefore, you will not be able to access "Manage Interest" app.
For your query, Interest in the cloud can be maintained via manual creation via app or CSV import using the template provided or using odata API_MKT_INTEREST_SRV depending upon the scenario you are using it for. Thank you Saurabh.
So, if I have a non-commerce website, say a informative website about sports, could 1 pageview in Google Analytics be imported as 1 interaction in SAP Marketing Cloud?
If I create a Google Analytics custom dimension, populated, as value, with the sport the pageview is about (say, hockey), then in the Google Analytics query configuration, can I map directly this dimension to the INTEREST_ITEM so that each pageview about hockey counts towards SAP interest hockey?
Hope this question is clear enough!
Thanks
