How do a custom field becomes visible for personalization of a email content block?

Hello,

I am working in my company's SAP Marketing Cloud demo. So there is nothing about a test and a live system. We just use it as a demo for client appointments.

I've created a custom field, enabled it for all UIs and reports, published it, imported some data and assigned it to the segmentation profile "All Contacts". Now I wanted to use this custom field as a personalization attribute within an email. Therefore I also chose the "All contacts" segmentation profile for personalization within the email settings. But still this custom field is not visible in the attribute list neither for "Condition Assigment" nor for "Insert Attribute". What went wrong?

Hi Beatrice,

You need to check "Visible in Export" box in Segmentation configuration for that field under the accurate Datasource and Segmentation object.
