How could I add state and district code list restriction in C4C ?

I want to add state and district code restriction in C4C; new account

in code list restriction; I added district as restricted field ( new extention field ) ; but in control field; I choose business field; I could not find state; I choose extention field; no state either. how can i add state in control field ? i choosed account as business object: you can find in attachment .

So I went to for the 2nd option ; using workflow ; i added country and state as condition; time as evey created ; field update option; i activated this rule; but does not work; 1.png2.png3.png

Hi,

You can not set up a code list restriction on Account - Country - State or Region. The region is related to the country and after country selection the relevant regions can be chosen by the users. May be you should check influence.sap.com to see if any improvements in this area are posted.

I am a bit confused with your question as you mention a code list restriction and a workflow rule for a field update. Maybe you could share more about the back ground of this question and what you would like to achieve.

When you have created new extension fields in line with the new extension field type please check the following thread.

When you want to set up a code restriction for e.g. state, you select your business object Account and in the Code to restrict your extension field. In control field type you tick the extension field box and again select your extension field. Then when you press save and open you should be able to tick the table entries you want your users to be able to select from.

my questions are:

we activate SAP default country/region configuration . but for some countries; we need implement district under state (some countries call region or department like France), everytime user choose state; the district list need to be adapted to this country . that is my question how to use state to control district.

I want to apply for code list control, i added a new extention field District ; in colde list restriction ; i want to find region / state as control field but i coulld not find it.

How could I do it ? thank you very much
