How can I find browsing history algorithm in SAP Marketing Cloud

Hi Experts,

Can somebody give me advice about how to find browsing history algorithm when I'm creating a recommendation model?

When I'm creating a recommendation model I don't get any option for that kind of algorithm, but according to documentation, it should be the default. I chose optimized algorithms only as a part of the recommendation model, can this be a reason?

Hi Valentina,

you can find the algorithms that exist in your system in the app "Configure My Solution" under "Commerce Marketing".

I tested your scenario and created a new Reco model and I am able to choose the algorithm there even if the "model is optimized" is set to "Yes".

If you choose the algorithm, the "model is optimized" is automatically set to "No"

So maybe you can provide a screenshot where you're trying to find it.

Hi Valentina,

is this the one you're searching for when creating your model?

Hi Tobias,

Yes, exactly. How do you get there?

Hi Tobias,

Thank you so much.

What I basically need is an optimized algorithm which has a different result for a different user? Is this possible?

Hi Valentina,

in my understanding this is not possible.

kunalkumar.bansal do you have any additional ideas?

Hello,

Yes, you're right Tobias; it's not possible!

It's not possible, until this idea (which was accepted 6 months ago but no further info since then) gets implemented:

Hi schneidert,

Thank you so much, you had a right. But, what I really want is to consume CEI_IA_RECENT_VIEWED algorithm in Product Recommendation Block in Content Studio. For it, you shoud have optimized Recommedation scenario and if you have that type of scenario you can't find CEI_IA_RECENT_VIEWED and assign it to the model. That is a problem.

The main question is, how to create optimized recommendation scenario (then is possible to use it in Content Studio for Product Recommendation) and to have this CEI_IA_RECENT_VIEWED algorithm as a part of the model for that scenario?

Hi Valentina,

okay I understand. So you need an optimized algorithm for your scenario. I think then it is not possible to use the one you wanted.

But I'm not sure if you could even use an optimized algorithm.

Have a look at the description of optimized algorithms:

As I understand your scenario you have a unique result set per user (everyone should see his own browsing history), so it seems like you can't use optimized algorithms.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
