hmc: hmcconfigmigrator and hybris 6.6

Hi,

we'd like to migrate the basic hmc structure of out hybris 6.6.0.23 suite to backoffice using the hmcconfigmigrator support addon. After downloading the extension (hybris-hmcconfigmigrator-6.0.0.0.zip) I extracted it into the current platform, added it to the localextensions.xml and marked our primary hmc extension as a backoffice-module in extension-info.xml (all things as described here: https://help.sap.com/viewer/5c9ea0c629214e42b727bf08800d8dfa/6.2.0.0/en-US/461287cde3c345a0913c8318c....

After rebuilding and restarting (and also doing a system update) the hmcconfigmigrator doesn't show up in the backoffice.

In the hac there I can see the hmcconfigmigrator extension besides the other ones (.../platform/extensions/) - but calling /backoffice there is just the generic, empty backoffice. No error messages, no hints, no idea.

Maybe we missed something? Hasanyone faced the same issue, or is able to provide a solution?

1) Verify that YOUEXT-backoffice-config.xml is created after you started the server

2) If not check your extension structure (probably an error during the migration) or your folder structure is not correct

But the problem is not running the migrated backoffice.

The proble is running the migration tool.

I've got a hybris 6.6 suite, containing an extension using hmc, and also a simple backoffice extension for playing purposes. Opening the backoffice (/backoffice), I can see and select this simple extensionsion. Now I'm deploying the hmcconfigmigrator extension, make some changes to the configs as described in die documentation, running ant all and restart the hybris instance. My expectation is, when opening the backoffice, I can select / use the hmcconfigmigrator backoffice to run the migration process.

But neither the hmcconfigmigrator backoffice shows up, nor any other events like error messages occur. It's just not there. It's the same state as before.
