what is the function in sales cloud quote: product alternative of line?

Hello Rainer,

I hope you are doing good this Tuesday.

The objective of this field is to mark items (products or text items) as alternatives for this specific line item. These items are excluded from the Sales Quote’s Total amount calculation, no worries on that.

This was an improvement from our 1705 as it can be seen here.

Remarks of this feature below (taken from pages 3 and 4 of the link above) :

- Creating external follow-up sales orders will be disabled if alternative items exist in the sales quote.
- The Alternative to Line needs to be reset and the item cancelled if was not ordered by the account.
- The action Create External Follow-up Document will be enabled once the alternative item reference was removed.
- Creating a follow-up sales order in SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer from a Sales Quote that includes alternative items will show a warning message that these item will not be copied to the sales order.
- A selection capability to take over certain products from the Sales Quote to the follow-up sales order is planned for a future release.
- Bi-directional exchange of sales quotes with ERP supports alternative items.
- References to Alternative Items are not supported in offline mode.

But still not able to get the total amount of each section, I don't want the total for all but the total of each groupe of items on the document,

Any solution please ?
