Font default / size default in Ticket description (Service cloud)

Hi all,

is it possible to change the "font - default" and "size default" in the ticket description inside the Service Cloud?

If I write a text in the ticket description it is formatted per default with Arial, 10pt. But if I copy some text from somewhere else, it has a complete other formatting ("font default" - see screenshot).

Where can I change this, that as well for text that is copied and pasted in the ticket description I have the format Arial, 10 pt?

I tried as well to just paste "only text" without the formatting (instead of STRG + V, STRG + SHIFT + V in google chrome or with right click paste unformatted). But no success, it switched to "font default" which is not Arial.

Any tips?

In the Company Settings under the UI Controls one can maintain the system wide default font and font size (as shown in the screenshot).

The default font, size that the user maintains in the company settings is what the system defaults to when the user opens the editor for the first time.

There are 3 possible ways of entering text in the ticket text editor.

Scenario 1: Open the editor, type the text via keyboard: The editor will apply the font maintained in the company settings. For our screenshot example, it will apply Verdana in 10pt.

Scenario 2: Copy/Paste Formatted Text into the editor: Text format of the copied contents is applied. If the text format in word is Arial 12pt, the same will be maintained into the editor.

Scenario 3: Copy/Paste Unformatted Text into the editor (Example: notepad++, notepad): Editor Default (DejaVu - 12px) is applied.

This is the current behavior.

thanks for your answer.

We have in our company settings as default Arial 12pt. However, if I type text via keyboard (scenario 1) in the ticket description it is Arial 10pt.

The interesting question is: In scenario 3 - is the editor default (DejaVu - 12px) changeable?

Hi deborah.albrecht2,

Can you try clearing the browser cache and then try logging into the system? I believe the editor is picking the font from the cache, which is an expected behavior.

Also, the default font is not changeable in the editor as of now. It is set to DejaVu - 12px.

thanks for your feedback. I think its a pity, that the default font is not changeable. I think it would be great to have the same standard formatting (font, size) as set in the company settings as well as default for Scenario 3.
