Hi Service Experts,
I do not see any of the service transactions included in the flexible workflows feature enabled in S/4 On-Premise solution. Is it in the future roadmap to include service transactions (Service Contract, Service Order,...) in the flexible workflow framework.
If we want to implement an approval process for Service Contracts, are there standard workflows enabled in the system which we can adapt and customise?

Just wanted to check with you on custom workflows. As per your last comment, you were investigating on developing the custom workflow for the Service transactions. Were you able to develop? If yes, then would you be able share the outcome of your analysis?
We are also looking for developing a custom workflow for service orders approvals.

Good Morning.
We have created a workflow enhancement and the developer is working on the development. The dev is still in progress, and it is yet to be tested.
But the general idea is we will trigger a workflow based on a custom status in the service contract header. An authorisation check will be enabled so that the customer service reps cannot activate the service contract by themselves. The approver is determined based on the old org hierarchy based on the "Manager" flag defined at the Position level. Contract activation will be done by the system workflow once the approver approves the request. It is still at a very high design level, but lots could change during the unit testing.
