Fiori tiles cannot be loaded after an upgrade

We upgraded from 1611 to 1709 SP01 and now in Fiori LaunchPad there are tiles that cannot be loaded. We did a Fiori LaunchPad check and found multiple apps that have a reference lost. For example, Target Group Customizing tile is not loaded, which is vital for the Configuration.

We followed Upgrade Guide and did all the steps as required. How can we reset the Fiori LaunchPad to the version 1709 SP01?

It appears that difficulty was to copy CONF layer to CUST layer for the system. I don't know why.

I had to delete all CUST layer tile groups and catalogs, forcing system to copy them again from CONF layer. That solved the issue. We couldn't figure it out without SAP support assistance.

Hello,

in the 1709 release, a lot of SAP pre-delivered catalogs and groups were deleted or modified. Unfortunately, the solution I see is to find the missing apps in Fiori Apps Library and re-create references from the correct catalogs.

There is no option to reset the Fiori Launchpad - all settings are assigned to the end user through roles.

Bartosz,

That sounds really bad. Is that your personal experience how you were dealing with the problem?

You need to check each Fiori group that you are using for missing tiles and re-create the references. In future I suggest copying Groups and Catalogs to Z* and this way they won't get deleted.

We want to have the Launchpad as it is suppose to be in version 1709 SP01. How can I tell, which apps / tiles should be there? I don't need previous groups and catalogs, if they are obsolete in this version.

Very strange.

Something like a standard Launchpad doesn't exist with S4H. You need to adjust it to the roles and functions by assigning the roles. I don't know if your system is a productive one or is it just a sandbox, but I would recommend to have at Fiori Apps Library and choose the apps you are interested in. Then you can assign the required roles.
