Find product by description

Dear Colleagues,

In a sales order, to add products, our customer needs to find products by description. Is it possible? Finder only has results for product ID and product name, but we need fo description.

Hello Eduard,

are you referring to field MAKTX in the product master in ERP/S4? This is replicated to C4C and can be used in searches.

Hello Eduard,

1.If I go to Sales Order ->Product facet, here I can see the column name 'Description' which is the name of the product as in product master data.

2.Now if I go to advance search of Sales Order, there you have field name 'Product', where using value help you can select the product name/description - based on which you should be able to search related sales order where this product is maintained.

Hi,

I do not see any field "Description" in C4C products. Did you mean "Notes"? If tahts the case then it is currently not possible to search the products based on Notes as they are language-dependent.

However, I would recommend using an extension field to store such information using script for a preferred language and then finally enable this field as "Searchable: using "Service" or process extention scenario.
