Filter for field language in custom CDS views to prevent unwanted doublets

Dear experts,

when creating custom CDS views I oftentimes encounter the following problem:

When I do not want doublet lines due to different languages of a field in my preview table then in some cases (for example when working with "I_MKT_Contact") I can just use the provided "Language" field and either declare a filter condition for a specific language code in the filter tab or use a calculation like "I_Mkt_Contact._YY1_CUSTOMFIELDEXAMPLE._Text[1:Language = 'E'].Description".

Now there comes my problem: What to do, when there is no language field available?

For example when using I_MKT_CorporateAccountCube in order to reach certain fields that are connected to the company - how can I manage to filter those code list fields to get the desired result of only entries of the same language?

Is this even possible?

I have an urgent task to complete for which I am able to do all the logical joining of views but because of the described issue with the doublets caused by the multiple languages for every code list field, the resulting custom queries get so big that SMC just gives an error message after loading for 2 minutes.

I don't quite understand your problem, do you have a screenshot that illustrates what you want to do?

Likewise, there are several language fields that you can use to filter.

I am talking about the specific languages of a certain field. For example a custom field codelist that I can reach through I_MKT_CorporateAccountCube is provided in multiple languages in the preview. I only want English though. How can I make it, so there is only one column with that custom field in English and not 3 more with german, chinese and russian (for example).

Hope this clarifies my question to some extend.
