Exposing Marketing Cloud Custom Analytical Queries to SAP Analytics Cloud

Morning,

We have several Custom Analytical Queries (SAQ) - all exposed to the Analytics - KPI Design catalogue - however the CAQ's are not available for use within SAC. Has anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve it? We have raised an incident but unfortunately no solution has yet been provided.

Our live connection appears to be okay as SAC is receiving data for the standard SAP created models (e.g. Campaign Success for Email, Aggregated Campaign Success).

Thank you,

Bradley

Hello,

Ideally, a custom query should be accessible via SAC as soon as it is published in SMC(due to Live Data Connection) and SAC connect to SMC is established.

It would be worth looking at the following blog about how to create query and even after following it, you don't see the query in SAC(Mind that data source query name in SAC will be starting with 2CYY1_***) then I would propose to open a ticket to SAP.

EDIT:

FYI...I created a few queries in past in my SMC and I can see them in SAC as shown.

Hi kabras ,

Unless there is a change in process in the recent release, you need to use the View Browser app to "create application" for catalogue assignment. Once you publish the catalogues, only then are the queries visible in SAC.

Hello abdullah.amerk ,

What you said is still valid i.e. you can go to "View Browser" app and then click "Create Analytical Query" button for respective CDS view to create a query which can be consumed by within SMC or outside of SMC(Like SAC).

However, you can also go to "Custom Analytical Queries" app and there also you can click "Create" and select the respective CDS Cube view to create a custom analytical query.

In the end both will result in a new custom analytical query which (if exposed via external api for underlying CDS view) can be consumed via SAC.

Hi bradnmursell,

By KPI Design Catalogue, you mean you have create the Analytical Application using the view browser for each of these CAQ's. If that is done and the catalogues are published, then I will try to check if the automatically assigned names in the SAC are refering to my query.

Thanks
