Error: Connection failed (RTE:[89013] Socket closed by peer

Dear all,

I am using SAP Trial account on my personal PC ( not corporate VPN), but i still get "Error: Connection failed (RTE:[89013] Socket closed by peer" while connecting to hana cloud DB.

Kindly suggest how we can resolve this. .

So I am using trail, and I am unable to find the specific IP address, I tried the one for my BAS and even my local IP and updated the connections for instances. But unless, I did allow all IP, I was not able to access, can someone please help me to find the correct way to find the IP needed?

If you connect to the HANA DB via a proxy it might be your proxy IP.

@KHUSH3, if you connect to HANA DB instance via a proxy you have to enter the proxy IP. You may try a service like https://whatismyipaddress.com/ to find this IP.

You need to allow client IPs to access your HANA Cloud instance. Please check whether you specified trusted source IPs matching your client IP. By default, only BTP IPs are trusted:

In SAP HANA Cloud Central open the context menue (3 dots) on the right and chose "Manage Instance". Search for the section where you can enter the IPs and add your client IP.
