Error - Action failed System doesn't allow metadata changes in layer CUS (GSEG/567) - How to solve?

Hello community,

I am currently working on SAP Marketing 1809 onPremise and on several customizing tasks I get the following error:

Action failed System doesn't allow metadata changes in layer CUS (GSEG/567)

Aktion ist fehlgeschlagen System lässt Metadatenänderungen in Schicht CUS nicht zu (GSEG/567)

My first idea was, that other transports (on SAP Solution Manager) may be blocking the segmentation objects I am working on, so we transportet every open change to the productive system. Unfortunatly

Launchpad and community also does not seem to have this error documented yet. Does anybody has an idea where this is coming from and how to solve it? This issue is really blocking my further work on the system.

Hello, Stefan! I have the same error when I try to create data source for segmentation object in Sap Marketing onPremises. How did you solve it?

This issue happens also when you try to add a new data source and you don't have any TR configured under "General and Performance Settings" option (Segmentation Configuration).

Note: when you try to do it in this way, the system automatically ask you for a new TR, but looks like there is an issue with the product doing it in this way and the error pops-up.

Suggestion: configure an open TR under "General and Performance Settings" before adding the data source.
