Equals search in Product Cockpit not possible

We are using Hybris 1805 Patch 20 and have encountered a problem with the "equals"-search in the Product Cockpit:

Even though we are using the "equals" operator the behaviour is like the "contains" operator. I have debugged and found, that currently set operator is ignored in com.hybris.backoffice.solrsearch.dataaccess.BackofficeSearchQuery in the method getQueries. It is always used "contains".

And it seems that the newer Hybris 1905 still has this problem:

Is this a know issue? How is the supposed was to handle this?
