Hello experts
I understand that there are several ways to enrich contacts with the marketing area.
One of them is:
"provide marketing area during the import using the API
This is the 'correct' approach - once the target system knows the marketing area, it is the best way to import the marketing area together with ContactOriginData"
Does this mean doing it through SCPI?
And a second option: "Enrich contact with marketing area by application job
Use the job 'Contacts: Enrich Contacts with Marketing Area' to enrich the contact with the marketing area"
How and where can this be done in SMC?
Best regards

Hi eliocentenob,
1. You can use different APIs, e.g. CUAN_BUSINESS_PARTNER_IMP_SRV which is used in the integration with SAP Sales Cloud. Here you can then set the Marketing Area in the Mapping in SCPI.
But of course you can use other APIs like API_MKT_INTERACTION_CONTACT_SRV.
2. If you have the right business role assigned you can see an App "Marketing Application Jobs". Within that app you can create a new application Job that's named Contacts: Enrich Contacts with Marketing Area.

In the job details you specify a Live Target Group. So you first have to use segmentation modeling and create a live target group which includes all the contacts, that you would like to enrich with the Marketing Area of your choice.
You can first run the job in test mode to check how many of your contacts would get the Marketing Area assigned and then run it in productive mode.
In addition of course you can set the Marketing Area while doing a CSV import.
And maybe this is interesting for you: In addition to that, if a contact gets an interaction that has a Marketing Area assigned, the contact will have that Marketing Area, too.

Thanks for the information, a question: Currently, the mapping will be done with a single marketing area, can more than one mapping be done? For example: If the contact has "X", the company or has "X" country, a certain marketing area has been assigned.
