Enhance Synonyms to use the custom solr attributes

Hello Team,

We have created a Synonym in solr facat configuration.We observed this synonym is working for the standard attributes "baseProductName" in the index properties. We have created a custom index property "baseProductDesignerName" which is used for the Designer Search.

For example: We have a text "Hello Hybris" has product description and Designer as "Hybris". Under Designer we have 10 products out of that only one product description as "Hybris" remaining all are some different name. So I created a synonym SAP->Hybris. I am getting the products which has the description Hybris not with the Designer as "Hybris". The expectation is I should be seeing the 10 products which are having the Designer name as "Hybris". Please let me know if I need to do any configuration in Solr to get the designer results with the product description as "Hybris".

Hello @Satish Bolisetty,

I think,You have to enable free text search on description as well. Which means whenever customer search with text it will be searching in product name and description as well. To enable this just open solr index description attribute in backoffice and go to SolrSearchQueryProperty of description attribute. Enable free text search after this you can see that synonym will start working with description as well.
