Hi Team,
Could you please help me with below set of questions in Emarsys?
1. How to create a new interaction type in Emarsys, if needed. What's process to get added a new Interaction type...e.g. "Email Deleted"?
2. Will Emarsys TCS provides free help in creating/modifying the Email template/html?
3. Is it possible to do the Web Recommendation in SAP Commerce Cloud sent from Emarsys?
• If so, is it via the JavaScript API?
• Also, share the detailed links/blogs/videos.
4.What are the options for SMC and Emarsys Integration in place now or on the roadmap?
Appreciate your support,
Regards,
Priya A Saxena

Hello saxenapriya,
I wish you a blissful, prosperous new year filled with harmony & joy. ✨
My name is Lucy, and I lead the Automation product line @Emarsys (including Automation Center & Interactions); it is great connecting with you.
Thank you for your question regarding Interactions (How to create a new interaction type in Emarsys, if needed. What's the process to get added a new Interaction type...e.g. "Email Deleted"?).
Interactions is an event-fuelled, behavior-focused automation solution with lightning-fast execution times. Most of the events it works with are customer-created ones [e.g., events coming through API ("External events"), mobile events, Google Pub/Sub events]. There are Emarsys-generated, standard events like the four Web Extend events (viewed a product page, updated a cart, viewed a product category, purchased) or the integrations with SAP CC, Shopify, or Magento.
To add a new event to trigger an Interactions program or to load into its own lightning-fast event history storage, you need to set up & create a new API, Google Pub/Sub, or mobile event; as soon as the first event comes into the platform from that event type, Interactions automatically detects it, and you can select those on the UI.
To request more standard Emarsys events, I recommend opening a feature request/using SAP's influence page and sending an improvement request.
For example, I am super-interested in your use case with the email deletion event; currently, I believe we are not aware of this event (not just Interactions but the whole platform).
Feel free to look at the examples of the incoming events & their payloads (standard & customer-created examples). To learn more about API event creation, I recommend looking up the devhub portal.
Have a wonderful week.
Kind Regards,
Lucy Sasvári

Dear lucysasvari,
Thank you so much for the detailed answer!
Much appreciated. I will get back to you if I have further queries.
Have a great week ahead 🙂
Hi saxenapriya, I think that we have answered all your questions, except for:
2. Will Emarsys TCS provides free help in creating/modifying the Email template/html?
I checked with our web development team and it would depend on the use case - not only how much effort but also if this would then be made available globally. But as Lucy mentioned earlier, your sue case is a new one for us so this aspect would be part of that whole approach.
Thank you again for your questions, and your patience!
