Email configuration with SAP customer checkout manager.

Hi All,

Can you please help me to configure email commination in SAP customer checkout manager. We are trying to configure it but the connection is not supporting. Please let us know what email details need to be fill in the fields.

If store team will create any invoice in SAP customer checkout the system should auto send email to customer email ID. email.pngemail2.png

Hi Protyusha Banerjee,

according to your provided screenshot, you tried to use the "ping" button for your configured SMTP connection. The error message you then got just says that this ping check for SMTP destination connections is not supported currently. But if the connection is setup properly, sending emails will work as expected. Just the connection check is not supported.

You can check if the SMTP destination is setup correctly via the "send test email" function in the email configuration app. With this function, you can send test emails to any desired email address and thereby check if the connection to the SMTP server works.

Furthermore, for setting up Gmail as SMTP server, you need to have multi factor authentication enabled in your Gmail Account and create an app-password that you then enter in the SMTP destination in the SAP customer checkout manager. Also, you need to use SMTPS (check “Use SSL”) and use port number 465.
