Editing Media in SmartEdit

Hey Experts,

We added several attributes to the Media type. In the CMS Cockpit, we can edit the Medias under Banner Components (see below), but for SmartEdit, it appears there is no option to edit a Media object (only add or replace them). We are using version 6.5, is there a way to make Medias editable in Smart Edit?

Are you able to edit media in smartedit?

Hey Sky,

Fear that this answer is outdated, but there is no possibility to edit Medias in SmartEdit OOTB even on 1808 (did not check on 1811) but functionality can be added by customizations in Angular - you may take a look at package /hybris/bin/ext-smartedit/cmssmartedit/web/features/cmssmarteditContainer/components/genericEditor/media - modification in Angular is rather painful for hybris/Java developer but they are possible.
