Duplicate Contacts based on same Email ID

We have a requirement where we need to save same email ID for multiple contacts (Mostly two) for our end users. For an example if husband and wife are using same Email ID and we have to create two contacts for them. We will be distributing these contacts in our other system where Email ID is considered as unique. Now we are cleaning up contacts in C4C before we distribute but we still have few contacts with duplicate email ID’s.

Does anybody else has faced such situation and how you handled it?

Any suggestions or advise will be appreciated.
