For Duplicate Check for Accounts and Contacts , is Trex mandatory , or another technique can be used ?

CRM version 7.0 EhP 2 .

To activate a duplicate check you need to use one of the following services, depending on your requirements:

• Partner software products that offer extended capabilities for duplicate checks and fuzzy search (see SAP Note 176559 for information about certified partners)
• SAP NetWeaver Search and Classification (TREX) (see SAP Note 1692370)
• Search capabilities of SAP HANA database (see SAP Note 1862997)
• Note that you can only run a duplicate check on the SAP HANA database in a stand-alone configuration. In a side-by-side configuration, you cannot use this duplicate check.

first option is possible as you see, this could be also custom coding.

Seems like the dedup on Hana has some advantage .

Anyone has already experienced dedup on Hana  ?
