Display Marketing-Recommendations In Hybris Commerce For Anonymus Users

Hi Experts,

is there a possibility to display recommendations (from Marketing Cloud Recommendation Scenarios) in Hybris Commerce also for users who are not logged in?

If a user logs in he can see the recommendations. For an anonymus user they are not shown.

Hello Mr. Schneider,

As per my knowledge, it is not possible to display Recommendations for Anonymus Users.

The system will not be able to recognize the anonymous and recommendation is based on learned information, so it's logical too.

Hope this was helpful.

Hi,

Recommendations can be also be shown for customer whoever hasnt logged in but in such case you will not be able to get contextual recommendation and it will be more of generic recommendation some tile "Top Selling Product" or "Top View Products" i.e. Top N based recommendations.

Thanks

Hi Saurabh,

okay it makes sense that it is not possible to show contextual recommendations for customers.

So I could use the standard-scenario "SAP_TOP_SELLER_HOME_PAGE" for example which uses the "CEI_IA_SALES_TOPN"-algorithm? This scenario shows the top sellers from the online-shop.

Do I have to change the "user type" of the scenario to something like "Cookie ID" instead of "Hybris Consumer"? Or what is the meaning of the "user type"-field?

Thanks

Tobias

Hi Tobias,

I am not sure which field you are talking about since I am unable to see field "User Type" as standard filter criteria.

But I do see "Interaction Contact Type" as filter and is system is properly configured then you should be able to see the values as "01","02" or "00" based on configuration.

Thanks

Saurabh

Hi Saurabh,

if you open the app for recommendation scenarios there's a field for user type. Here I can choose an ID-Origin of my system (e.g. SAP_ERP_CONTACT, SAP_HYBRIS_CONSUMER, COOKIE_ID, ...).

Actually it is SAP_HYBRIS_CONSUMER and the recommendations are not displayed for users who are not logged in the commerce web shop. So do I have to change it to Cookie-ID or something like that?

Hi Tobias,

I'm not sure of this field on hybris marketing matters...

In the HY750 training we did an exercise on this (If you have access to Learning Hub; it's Part 2 of the HY750 that is the exercise book) and there's a part in hybris commerce in the WCMS where you add a rule about who is allowed to see that part, and you need to enter "member of campaigns is in campaigns ..." . For the Top Products exercice we didn't add such a rule so those were visible when browsing anonymously, but for the often viewed together excercise such a rule was added so this only became visible when logged in.

Hope this helps, as I haven't used it except from during that excercise.

Hi Joyca,

thanks for your feedback. I will check it in the Learning Hub.

So I have really no idea why the scenario with top products doesn't work for anonymus users...
