discount not firing in the storefront

Hello,

Could any one help what am I missing for this promotion? I created percentage discount in HMC (version I am using 6.2) and added the product also. When I go and add the product to the cart in storefront I am not seeing % discounts. See the screen shot of the discount creation..

Any help will be appreciated..

Thank you for ur response. How will the rules will be moved from development to production environment? I am creating the rules in development environment in back office. Whatever rules created in development environment will need to move to production right. How do we do this?

Hi,

1 and 2 will work like this when you add a qualifiying product as part of the rule. The rule only gets the code and does not care about the catalog versions. Therefore you get both both versions activated at ones. For number 3 , the response is very clear 🙂 Stop using HMC! 🙂 It is a easy tool but it is too old and it will be totally deprecated in later versions. So therefore there is no support for promotion rules there. Get used to backoffice, it will be easier.

Thank you Marko for providing the link. I do have 2 questions..

(1) When I create discount rule on staged product it is applying for online also. Currently electronics store pointing to online catalog and I created the promotion for the staged product. But the discount is applying for online. I thought it should not apply the discount because I didn't add the online product in the rule condition. see the screen shot

(2) Generally we do any changes in the staged version and then will move the changes to online version by synchronizing or using some kind of cron job. How do we move the promotion rules from staged to online version.

(3) How do I create the promotions in hMC? You said 6.2 version using promotions engine. Can we create promotion rules in hMC? Could you provide any link how to apply promotions from hMC?

You are using 6.2? You need to use the promotion engine, this is the old promotions that are not used any more. Check in backoffice and search for promotions rules.
