In our application, we are having a cronjob for update index running every 30 minutes. We want if the CronJob cannot be run at the schedule time ( say 2:30 PM) due to to some reason (other jobs are already running), the CronJob should not run at a different time. To solve this, we had set the "retry" flag of the CronJob as "false", but still the problem persists. Please let me know if you need additional information.

You can check its value (called Maximum acceptable delay) by double clicking on your CronJob Trigger in Time Schedule tab of your CronJob in backoffice.
