Hi,
[I am referring this in context of Hybris Commerce v6.4 and above]
What is the difference between "Product Cockpit" Module and "Product Content and Catalog" Module? How are they related to each other? Since "Product Content and Catalog" Module seems to be separately paid module, do I really need it (if I already have Product Cockpit module)? In what scenarios do I need "Product Content and Catalog" Module?
Thanks.

Geff, thanks for your response. Does the "Product Content and Catalog" module resemble what is generally called PIM (Product Information Management) product? Secondly, I feel there is a lot of overlap between "Product Content and Catalog" module and "Product Cockpit" module. Is that correct?

Yes, the "Product Content and Catalog" is PIM and it is a core module. You need need it to define your data models / definition. The cockpit is just another tool that makes it easier to browse / manage products / catalogs. The Wiki actually defines both of them to be under the same module - productcockpit.
By the way, please don't forget to Upvote and Accept the answer if you are satisfied with it.
These are the Wiki definitions:
Product Content and Catalog Module: The hybris Product Content and Catalog Module is a license option that provides functionality for holding, structuring, and managing products and product information.
Product Cockpit Module: The hybris Product Cockpit Module enables cockpit end users to manage and structure product information and catalogs in high-volume and collaborative environments. Product managers can visualize their input from multiple perspectives and make product management processes more efficient.
You can think of "Product Content and Catalog Module" as a way to define the business' catalogs and the product's attributes / structure. Other the other hand, you can think of "Product Cockpit Module" as a tool that lets the business users manage their products using a web application.
