Hello Experts,

We have SAP C4C (Service) implementation and integration with SAP Banking services for Business Partner replication.

However in C4C, the Clients view and Business Partners view in the menu show different number of Clients. The Business Partner View has a lot more clients listed and the the replication looks correct whereas the Clients view has a lot less clients listed.

Could you please suggest whats the difference between these 2 Views and how can the BPs available in Business partner view can be seen in Clients view too?

Thanks,

Bhushan

Hi Bhushan,

Business Partner is a collective term for all the companies and people you interact with in your business, and includes accounts, contacts, partners, and employees.

When you create a document, you can designate a business partner as an involved party and assign them a role.

Example: You can create a sales quote and add an account as the ship-to party. In this case, the account is the business partner, and ship-to is the party role.

Customer( re-labeled to Client in your system) is the term used in C4C to denote B2B (Corporate) Accounts and B2C (Individual Customers).

Kind Regards,

Thanks for the information Nishanth. Really appreciate it.

Does this mean if the BP (B2B/Corporate) is replicated from backend and can be seen in Business partner view, it should be available in the Customer view as well? or are there any explicite steps?

Thanks,

Bhushan

bhushan.hyalij,You would need to maintain the code list mapping for the role in C4C and also send the BusinessPartnerRoleCode in the replication payload.

If you have already replicated the BP data, then you will have to update the BusinessPartnerRoleCode.

Please refer the below links which may be helpful:

Hi Nishanth,

The BP replication has been successful. My questions is should the Customer view display all B2B BPs automatically the way I see it in the Business Partner View?

Thanks,

Bhushan

Hello Bhushan Hyalij,

As Nishanth correctly mentioned, In C4C we have Business Partners which can be Account / Contact / Employee / Individual Account and this will be determined by BusinessPartnerRoleCode and CategoryCode in the Incoming message to C4C. So to answer your last question

should the Customer view display all B2B BPs automatically the way I see it in the Business Partner View - No. Only BP's with Customer related BusinessPartnerRoleCode will be displayed under "Customers(Clients)" in your system. To identify which role exists or if a role exists at all , you can open the record from Business Partners work center and you see the role on UI and when you click on it , it will take you to the BP displayed in specific role.
