Deleting attachments on CRM Service confirmation

Hi,

When a attachment is uploaded against a Service Confirmation in CRM, there is no option in the WEBUI to delete it as it can be that an incorrect attachment has been uploaded. The assignment block doesn't show any option, is this an authorization issue ?

I would assume it is an authorisation issue. Did you check SU53 for the user after the user opened the view and has to realize that there is no delete button?

Can the user delete the attachment via SAP GUI through Trx. CRMD_ORDER?

Hi Michael, I've tried to remove the attachment via CRMD_ORDER via the Delete Orignal and Delete link options but each time I get the following message, indicating that it can't be deleted.

Since the document is linked with the business object through ArchiveLink, you will have to use ArchiveLink functions.

You can try with Trx. SARA "Archive Administration". The archiving object should be "ARCHIVELNK - ArchiveLink Link Entries"

Why do you use ArchiveLink as a Source of Attachments to link to the CRM Business Object?

I'll look into using SARA transaction but is not ideal to give users access to this. We moved onto a Central platform and don't know the reasoning why ArchiveLink is used.

chanb001, I would suggest that you open another question that is 'more' specific to your problem e.g. "How to delete ArchiveLink documents from One-Order objects". There is a lot of information on the internet about ArchiveLink, so I assume there will be experienced experts there as well. If the standard does not support it and doesnt give customizing options to make it available, you will have to develop that function yourself.
