Delete Marketing Permission OptIns for specific Marketing Area

Accidentally we've uploaded Marketing Permissions via CSV (Data File Load) with the wrong Marketing Area.

I know this should not happen, but it has happened.

I already deleted the interaction MKT_PERM_OPTIN from the system but the Marketing Permission for the (wrong) Marketing Area is still remaining in the system.

Is there any way to delete the Marketing Permission records which are assigned to the wrong Marketing Area.

thank you for your answers. I already feared that the Marketing Permissions can't be removed from the data base.
Nevertheless I've created an incident due this issue because as an Administrator it should be possible to remove permissions regarding GDPR etc.. At leas SAP should have some opportunities by creating an incident.

eliocentenob, of course I carried out the re upload of the OptOut for the specific Marketing Area immediately. Otherwise we have had the wrong newsletter for our target group ...

I think that would be a good option,

if you uploaded those contacts and gave them a specific permission.

It would be reloading that contact data but denying that permission for it to be updated with the new status.

Hello,

You cannot delete the marketing permission. You can only mark them as "Opt In" or "Opt Out" using API API_MKT_CONTACT_SRV or via CSV

Hi Tobias,
I have never done that before and in our systems we did not touch the API Endpoints manually, this might be possible but I am not familiar with that approach.

I've never tried but wouldn't it be possible to do a PATCH to the /MarketingPermissions Endpoint of the API_MKT_CONTACT_SRV?

unfortunately that does not help. It deletes the Marketing Area on contact level but I need to remove the Marketing Permission (EMAIL) for that Marketing Area.

May be consider removing the wrong Marketing Area from the Contacts using

the Application Job "Contacts: Remove Marketing Area from Contacts".

This may help you.
