Default value for extension field on Ticket OVS

Hello,

I found an issue with the C4C and don't know if it's a bug or not.

I created an extension field with a default value for a Ticket and made it visible in the header section. For instance, field 'Last Modified date' with default value '01/01/2000'. When I saved this adaptation and open an existing Ticket, the default value '01/01/2000' of the extension field was not prefilled. I had to enter it manually. However, when I created a new Ticket, the default value '01/01/2000' of the extension field was prefilled.

Is this a bug?

Hi Vishal,

This is correct system behaviour. If you wish to update the value for tickets created before the extension field is created, you can use the data workbench.

I suppose in your example, if the extension field is recording 'Last Modified Date' then you need trigger a change in the ticket that you opened to invoke a save action for the field to be updated.

Jameel
