Dear experts,
we try to replicate customized MATMAS IDocs from SAP ERP via Datahub 6.6 to Hybris Commerce. Our Hardware resources are as following: 4 CPUs, 16 GB RAM, OS-System is openSuSe 42.3. We tried different configurations to optimize the performance, but our best result was 33342 items/hour. By checking the threaddumps we noticed the system spends a lot of time in the publication phase. We also did a test setting the default values for each parameter. Unfortunately this worsend the performance dramatically. Attached you will find our local.properties file from the above mentioned test. This is also the one test out of many which gave us the best results so far.
The (shortend) JVM startup options are: link text CATALINA_OPTS=" -Xms12288m -Xmx12288m"
We already read through the Configuration Properties on the Hybris Help Portal, but do not fully understand which parameters to use. We are also not sure which values we need to set for the used parameters.
Can you please help us to get a better understanding how the parameters work and how to increase the performance of our system?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards, Juliane

Hi Juliane,
This is indeed poor performance, by the standards of the General Correlations Between Hardware Configuration and Job Size documentation.
As you say, it is spending lots of time in Publication phase. Data hub willy hang there until the Commerce Suite gets back to it with the result of the publication. So check the hybris logs for when it receives the publication and what is it doing with it. It could be churning out errors.
Regards,
Luke
