Data Protection in C4C: Business Purpose Completed Indicator (GDPR)

Dear C4Cers,

the data protection & privacy work center offers an indicator "Business Purpose Completed" which can be used to filter contact persons. What is the meaning of this indicator? When does it change to "true"?

It sounds very helpful as GDPR requires us to remove data that does not have an active business purpose anymore, but we need to be aware of the definition.

Thanks a lot and regards

Dominik

Hi Dominik,

This indicator in a business application, should be set by a Data Protection Officer of the Organization based on customized data rules of the Organisation. C4C does not influence this indicator.

You can set/unset this indicator using Standard SOAP or OData services used for BP Replication where you will find the element 'Business End of Purpose' Indicator.

Regards

Dedeepya

Hi Dedeepya, I get same request from a customer. They are using Consumer replication from CDP to C4C. They want to delete consumer due to GDPR in C4C. to do it, they must flag the customer as obsolete in CDP and send info to C4C. this process works well. Now, they want to differentiate consumer deletion due to GDPR and consumer deletion due to wrong data. How the replication of the consumer from CDP works to flag the consumer "business end of purpose" in C4C? Thanks. Lucie
