Data management in sap hybris c4c

Hi ,

I have a question regarding data migration. I searched many websites for appropriate explanation but in vein.

I found data can be managed in 3 places in Hybris C4C.
1. Business configuration - fine tune- Data migration
2. Data work bench - workcenter
3. Mass data maintenance- work center

I am confused, what is the significance of these three?

Is there any limitation of usage for each of these? Is it any particular specific significance of each functionality? what I mean is in which scenario, which one to be used? or can I use all these three in all data management scenarios. as per my wish can I choose one.

Could you kindly explain in detail.

Dear Indrakumar,

You can use all the three methods for importing the data into the system

Mass data maintenance work center is only used to modify the existing the data in the system. You can export the existing data and then make the respective changes and then Import the data.

Whereas Data Migration and Data Workbench can be used for initial migration and also for enhancement and modification of existing data in the system.

Data Workbench work center is a new tool for migrating and updating the data in the system. So we would recommend you to use Data Workbench work center
