Hello Experts,

For reporting purposes we need to know how many customers (Individual Customers & Accounts) were converted from Prospect into Customer during a period of time.

Thank you for your help

Kind Regards

Hi Safa,

It is not standard to filter on a specific Attribute change in combination with the Changed On date. In this particular case the change from role prospect to role customer. There is no data source on account changes. The Changed On value on the account is available for all changes and not specifically for this field change.

What I would do (which is just a suggestion) is the following.

  1. Extension field. I would first make the role change from prospect to customer at a certain moment in time visible, by setting an indicator on the account and the individual customer when ever this happens. You have to create an extension field role change of the type indicator. In the definition of this field you select Account Master Data (CODCUSTOMER) in the reporting tab, as this is a data source that you can use for your report and KPI’s on this particular change.
  2. Workflow rules. Then you have to set up 2 workflow rules that set the indicator whenever this particular change from prospect to customer takes place. You use the field Role and the before object change indicator with Prospect and the field Role and Customer in your conditions. You need one workflow for the Account object and one for the Individual Customer.
  3. Report. You create a new report based on the Account Master Data (CODCUSTOMER), data source and include the characteristics: From Prospect to Customer indicator (= the ext. field step 1), Role (Prospect – Customer), Category (Organisation – Person) and Changed on. You can add additional (restricted) key figures that represent a counter for the current month and the previous month, which enables you to set up a KPI in which you compare the number of changes of role with the current month and the previous month
  4. Selections and Views. You create selections for the customers and individual customers and a relative time selection (like last month) and views that display the From Prospect to Customer indicator, as a basis for some KPI tiles on the home page
  5. Create (2) KPI that represent the number of prospect to customer changes. When you add a threshold it and or a reference it can look as in the attachments from-prospect-to-customer.jpg

I changed 2 Organisations from Prospect into Customer and have a target set to 5.

Good luck and let me know if this approach helped you further or that you have chosen a different path.

Kind regards,

MJ
