I have created a customer merge for 2 duplicate records and initiated the merge. After the successful merge, the status set to completed. Now I tried to delete that merge but I'm getting the error message as "Delete allowed only for status 'Not Started'" and "Change of Business Partners only allowed for status 'Not Started'. Is there anyway to delete the merge if the status is completed??

Once the merge is completed then you cannot delete the merge record. Only those merge, which is not started, could be deleted.
