We have a requirement to be able to maintain customer attributes in the BP master data in order to support some legacy applications. The need is to be able to maintain these values and de-commission them when the legacy systems are retired. However, the challenge is that some of the values are based on Company Code / Sales area. Customer class and characteristics offer the flexibility, but the challenge is to be able to maintain characteristic values based on Organization Structure as dependent values.
I wanted to seek inputs from experts if there is a way to define characteristics and dependent characteristics that could be maintained based on Organization values so that the customer class and characteristics could be leveraged for such situations.
Would appreciate your valuable inputs.
