Custom Relative Selects in C4C Analytics

Hi everyone,

I have been searching for this easy task many hours, read a lot and asked my colleagues without a solution.

I need to create in the report Relative Select for values: Last, current and next month. This is not provided by default. When I create Relative Selects for this value I can choose only specific months. In this way it is not dynamic so it loses the sense. Another possibility is not available.

It seems as the basic function.

I used DS: Sales Target Analysis and value: Calendar Month

Many thanks,

JK

Hi Stefanie,

We have checked and currently we do not have any option to transport custom relative selection between two tenants. If you are looking for this feature then we would recommend you to raise this as a new requirement in influence forum:

https://influence.sap.com/SAPCloudforCustomer

For now, you have to create separately in tenants. Having any other/further concern, please revert.

Hi Jan,

Existence of Relative Selections

I have several questions and comments:

I know for certain that these three relative selects exist, because I have used each of them in various reports. Each of them works by starting with the current date and calculating the last, current, or next full month accordingly. For today in June, Current Month shows June 1 - June 30.

It would be helpful to better describe if the functionality you're expecting differs.

Custom and Dynamic Relative Selections

You're exactly right on this point. Custom relative selections must be manually updated.

Dynamic Relative Dates

It's not entirely true that C4C doesn't have dynamic relative dates. On the report selection, there is an option to "Save Time Characteristics as Relative." This option is a little confusing, but it works differently than custom relative selections. Let's say that today is June 14th, 2019, and in a report selection you set a fixed date of June 12th, 2019 and check this box. On any day that anyone uses this selection, the default date will be "Today minus two days" because of the original offset used when saving the selection.

One note: The offset is only calculated when the selection is created (not saved)! So if you must change the offset after creation, delete the selection and recreate it entirely.

I hope this helps and if I missed something, let me know.

Best Regards,

Brian

Hi Brian,

thank you for your concern.

To be more clear I will show you print screens.

In the report I want to show data for: Last, Current and Next Month. Below are available relative selections. The highlighted is mine which is not working properly.

In common tasks -> Relative Selections -> I tried to create my own one. Below is my process. Actually, I have no idea how to make it work as I don't see any possibilities for choosing dynamic relative dates.

Many thanks,

Jan

Dear Brian,

We have a custom, dynamic relative selection created in the test system. But if we download a report using this selection and want to upload it to the production system, we always get an error message. So we are not able to transport the custom relative selection from test to prod system. We always have to remoce the selection, download and upload to prod, and add the selection again on production.

We had to create the same customer relative selection on prod system, as it is not transfered by a normal report download and upload.

Is there any option to transport the customer relative selection between both tenants?

Thanks in advance,

Stefanie
