Hello,
We have several custom tiles on our C4C homepage. The title and description have been created in EN language but now users connecting in another language do have a blank title & description.
I was hoping that I could modify this with language adaptation but it seems the homepage is missing from the text pool selection page. I also have seen the other related topics in here https://answers.sap.com/questions/506797/translation-of-custom-tiles-in-c4c-missing.html but it is not really feasible.
This because we have many business roles (+20) and many languages (+10) for each business role, it means I would need do +-200 adaptions just for the language only.
On top, I don't want the titles and description to be translated at all and want, no matter the language the user is connecting, having the tiles appearing in the language how they have been created (the text and description are well known abbreviations within our organisation no matter the language).
Does anybody has an idea if this is feasible & how i can achieve this with the least effort?
Thanks.
Jelle

Hi,
Unfortunately, there is no shortcut to maintain translation against each language via Language Adaptation for Home Page Tile as they follow a different than other C4C UI. For more details please check https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2691981
However, In order to cut short the task I can propose the following work around:
1. Create a dummy role in C4C tenant. This role will contain everything from the home page tiles irrespective fo the user role.
2, Now log-off and re-login in the new language and adapt the home page for the newly created role.
3. Once done then save your changes and keep on doing the same for all the other targeted languages.
So now only 10+ times you need to make this change instead of 200+ times. I know its still not an ideal solution but I cannot think any better way to proceed from here on.
