Custom field for interaction used in recommendations

Hi all,

We have created a custom field "NetworkSite" to be used in interactions, as it say, it stores the address of the site (like www.de.xyz.com or www.ch.xyz.com) the user is currently watching.

We have integrated google analytics in our sap marketing to keep track of user interaction.

This information is correctly stored in the field and everything is running smoothly on that side.

Afterwards we decided to use this custom field also in recommendations (adding and enabling it in custom field in CEI_IA_IC, Interactions), with the aim to give different recommendations based on the site. Like top sellers filtered by uk site etc..

Filtering using this property doesn't seems to have any effect at all on the recommendations that are shown, they are all identical.

What are we missing here?

Hi lafemmenikita85,

Can you please share some pics as to how you test against the different domains. I wonder whether the sales orders have the custom field too, if not then the top seller will not be affected with this field. Maybe you can try using the top viewed products.

The filtering that has been applied. I censored client personal data.

Additional info: In "Browse interaction data" we have "Product Viewed" interaction type and as well "Sales order".

The interaction data in a bit old but consinstent with production data until jan 2020 (we are in QA env for this tests)

The NetworkSite is present in almost all interaction records we have, only like 20 interactions don't have this information.

You settings looks good. I think there is something going on in the data or the custom field usage as prefilter is not being correctly applied. Correct me if I am wrong, you have added the Custom Field as recommendation prefilter.

Maybe you can check with product support!
