Good Afternoon Experts,
I was hoping someone could provide a bit of advice upon knowing which data sources to select when creating custom CDS views. We often have users ask for specific reports, but given the extensive list of data sources available, it is often difficult finding the most appropriate one. Often it seems trial and error. I have looked at the 'View Browser' app, but not sure how to use this as there seems to be little documentation available.
A common issue is also in trying to insert attributes that are description based, not just code only. Such as Marketing Area and Country.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi bradnmursell,
You can use the I_Mkt_Interaction to create a custom cds view to track your interactions.
For finding your correct views or the usage I will recommend to checkout this video link.
Please also check other videos is the 9 video series.

Hi kunalkumar.bansal
One of particular interest was to track unsubscribes. The requirement was to aggregate this by country, marketing area and interaction time (opt out date).
Also, we are trying to appraise campaign performance by medium type. So looking at leads generated and marketing spend ROI. Ideally this would be compared to other companies, or period on period.
Thanks
Bradley

Hello bradnmursell,
I do agree with you, but the list is huge in Custom Views and documentation is not possible with increasing number of views.
Do you have specific requirement you are looking for?
Thank you.
