Custom business object not available for creation of custom fields

Hello Experts

We have created a CBO for Width "YY1_WIDTHMASTER2" but when we are trying to create a custom field as an association to the above CBO, the CBO is not visible in the dropdown list for selection.

The CBO is published and we have also maintained one record in it.

How are you? I have excluded the Tag "SAP S/4HANA Cloud" and included the Tag "SAP S/4HANA Cloud Extensibility" for this question, as Custom Fields are related to Extensibility.

Hi Ashish,

Can you check to confirm that the custom business object has 1) the field Can Be Associated enabled 2) It has been published.

If not, please do this and then try creating the custom field with type "association to business object"

Thank you for your reply.

The issue has been identified. The problem was regarding "Key Fields", two key field were maintained for the CBO that's the reason it was not visible in custom field association although the CBO was marked for association and published.

Please note that you can actually associate Custom BOs having multiple keys using the field type Code List based on CDS View. For more information see option 3 within the following blog: https://blogs.sap.com/2023/07/11/key-user-custom-fields-when-to-use-what-type-of-code-list/
