Good Morning Everyone,
I hope everyone is doing well.
I need some help with following:
- How can i identify what are the critical tables in SAP CRM system
- How can i verify whether there are validity checks in place for particular fields
- What else should i look into SAP CRM system with audit perspective i.e. confrontational settings.
I shall appreciate if anyone can help me in this regard.
Thanks,

Request clarification before answering.
Those are a very broad questions, so I hope you are not expecting too specific answers 😉
" How can i identify what are the critical tables in SAP CRM system ?Most likely it is CRMD_ORDER_INDEX, CRMD_ORDERADM_H, CRMD_LINK (every 'document' is a 1-Order object) and also BUT000, BUT100 (Business Partners) as well as COMM_PRODUCT, COMM_PRPRDCATR (Products). But it also depends on the CRM area you are dealing with specifically where more 'critical' tables come into play.
" How can i verify whether there are validity checks in place for particular fields ?Use the F1-help to drill down from a GUI field to the data element and its domain, and see whether it has fixed values or a domain table attached to it. Also for tables in SE11, check if for the table fields there are foreign key or check table restrictions, fixed values or just value helps, or nothing at all. However, checks on 'particular fields' can also be implemented in other ways besides using DDIC functionality. However, DDIC functionality should be the most common one.
" What else should i look into SAP CRM system with audit perspective i.e. confrontational settings ?Please be more specific what you mean by "audit perspective" and especially "confrontational settings". Give examples of what you are looking for.
Depending on how 'fluent' you already are in SAP CRM, I strongly recommend the following ressources, so you get to know your way around SAP CRM:
