Creating lead from phone call activity

When I create an activity "Phone call" (without related account) and go to tab Related Items > Follow-up items > New > Lead

It only gives an option to create a follow-up lead for an existing account (Existing account tumbler is on and grayed out).

Is it possible to change this?

We need to be able to create leads from phone calls without an existing account

Hi Kateryna,

It is possible to create a phone call with out adding a account - just leave it blank. When you open your phone call and create a lead, then the field will still be blank. It could be that in the page lay out the account field is set mandatory. With adaption you can change this.

As it makes sense that you do not want to have all kinds of activities registered bay various employees, without account information - I would set up some kind of cold calling process for non existing accounts, for a particular group of employees, with a business role to which you assign a particular page lay out, in which you adapt the account fields in a way they fit the process.

The trouble is that in adaptation it looks like Account field is not set as mandatory. Although in the UI it actually is mandatory
