Hi
When adding a block of the type "Offer" in an email in Content Studio, Offer & Coupon related attributes appear in the Insert Attribute menu.
Two of them are Validity Start and Validity End.
They show from when to when a coupon is valid, taking into account the "Delay Period" and "Code Validity Period" set on the Coupon. e.g. if there is no delay period and the code validity period is 7 days, the Validity Start shows today, and validity end shows today+7days
However, these fields show both date and time.
e.g. a coupon distributed right now which is valid for 7 days, would show
Valid From 19.12.2019 11:40:21
Valid To 26.12.2019 11:40:21
I don't want the timestamps to show up here.
Is there any way to do that?
These fields are not in my Segmentation Profile, Content Studio adds them by itself specifically on the Offer block type, so I can't go and change the Semantic Type in the Segmentation Configuration.

In addition to Customer Influence, I had also created a Support Ticket.
And there, I got a change. Below is the description. It *should* be available in the next release, but as always, no promises.
Dear customer,
In response to your issue, we have completed an addition to the software. With these changes, you have additional date and time fields available as personalization attributes when designing an email. This change is implemented for the four following Offer/Coupon-related timestamp fields: Offer Start, Offer End, Coupon Code Valdity Start, Coupon Code Validity End. It is still possible to use the original timestamp fields in emails as well.
The new fields are hidden by default and must be configured for each user from within the configuration of the personalization attribute list.

Hi Joyca,
I checked in an internal system and found that the standard design includes DateTime format as standard to take care of unique offer Validity including the timezone.
If it's very important, you can submit an idea and close this thread.

Hi, thanks for checking.
It is very important, and more urgent than the implementation timeframe for Ideas...
When getting emails with offers, from any Marketing system, in those emails the validity period is always mentioned between two dates, never do I see I a timestamp (that would just look weird as well). Also from SAP references of SAP Marketing I get emails with validity period in dates without timestamp, so how was that solved for those customers then?
I understand and you can log a ticket under CEC-MKT-OFM in that case.
Hi Joyca,
Can you change the semantic type of the Attribute to DATE?
Read documentation - https://help.sap.com/viewer/ac1eab4c66bc490da7ac2c378c46b0e7/1911.500/en-US/69c9cbd8702d4bc5a987df68...

Hi kunalkumar.bansal ,
I want to do that, but I can't, I don't find the associated Data Source for the Offer related fields, cfr my initial description:
"These fields are not in my Segmentation Profile, Content Studio adds them by itself specifically on the Offer block type, so I can't go and change the Semantic Type in the Segmentation Configuration."
I created a Customer Influece Idea for this:
https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/242119
However it seems so strange that this isn't part of standard already. I am subscribed to quite some newsletters, including some from SAP Marketing Cloud customers, in which there are Coupons and a Validity End Date is mentioned (without a timestamp). So either a solution exists, or the mails that I am getting have a plain text behind it and not the "Validity End" variable attribute field...

kunalkumar.bansal , do you perhaps know how to change the formatting of the Coupon validity fields to only date, instead of date+time?
