Correct approach for Multiple Index in solr

Hi

i am implementing a solution.

i need to index categories and brands separately from products, so first categories and brands document s must be searched then returned result should be added as a filter query to the solr query for product.

what would be the correct approach for this?

Sounds complicated

- use your product solr index to fulfill all your search requirements in one go

- if you absolutely must search categories first then brands then products consider to search categories and brands via flexible search and then do the products search

I don’t think I understand your intend. typically one would index categories with the product and just query for them in terms of a facet...
