Corporate Account search logic

Dear experts,

we are confused about the searching feature in the Corporate Accounts app in SAP Marketing Cloud.

Using the search field and the filter in the column, we have three different behaviours:

1. Searching using a part of the name, the system returns also corporate accounts without that string in the name:
   

   

2. Searching using a part of the name with *, the system returns also corporate accounts without that string in the name, but the search is restricted then before:
   

   

3. Searching using the filter in the "Account" column, the system returns the right selection:
   

   

I'm sure that the accounts don't have the word "BIAGGIO" in other fields available in the Corporate Accounts app, so we kindly ask you to explain us how this search works.

SAP support has answered my question:

"I was able to validate the design in the internal SAP Marketing Test Tenant and discussed the design with Development. The Coporate Account search is performed as fuzzy search - this is not searching with the exact string but Fuzzy Search provides a fast and fault-tolerant search feature for SAP HANA. A fuzzy search returns records even if the search term contains additional or missing characters or other types of spelling errors. This is the correct design."
