Content Studio E-Mail Editor Lite - Conditions

Hello experts,

we are facing the issue, that we would like to send individual designed content in one E-Mail to our customers.

The individual design should be based on the "Newsletter Subscription" aka "Communication Category".

For example:
Communication Category: 1 = Decorative Products

Communication Category: 2 = Flooring Products

Communication Category: 3 = Building Products

Now it is possible that the Customer checks one or more of the communication categories during the registration.
If he checked for example 1 + 2. The Customer should get information about decorative and flooring products.

We know that there is the "condition assignment" possibility in the content studio app.

The E-Mail could look like that: (including the three section)

In this example:

Decorative + Flooring should be included
Building should be fully invisible.

What I see so far is that it is not possible to put a condition on the row. It is always put on the column. So it is not possible to set the "Building" Row to invisible or blank.

Do you have any best practice how to manage this issue?

Thank you

BR Christof

Hello ralf.freyler,

thank you very much for the sync meeting.

I wanted to share the following results/solution:

  • If you want to set up a flexible E-Mail where the conent differes depending on the for example.: the communication categoriess/subscriptions the solution is to put the other columns in the default mode to blank.

For example: The contact checked the communication category "Flooring" . The Flooring content should be visible for him. The others should be blanked out.

The condition behind the blocks need to be build for example like:

"Communication Category" contains = Flooring

Assign the condition to the blocks where you want to show content.

For the blanked out blocks in default mode put the padding ect. to "0"

Heads up.: If your are using outlook it is possible the the content is not displayed as wished todue the reason that image might cause some problems. The solution is to adapt the setting of the image -> under container -> change the width to px instead of %.

Hello, one remark to the heads up about the width in px and %: If you set px then the size is of course static and you have to be aware that your image are not responsive anymore.
