Hi all,
in contacts in C4C the business address of the customer is visible and you have the possibility to maintain personal addresses, where one has to be marked as main.
Is it possible to deactive the mark "Main", so that none of the personal addresses are "main"? Does the field "Main" means which of the personal addresses are main or that the personal address is "main" and not business address?
So what consequences does the mark "Main" entail in C4C?
Thans & best regards,
Deborah
Request clarification before answering.
Hello Deborah,
It will not be possible not to have a main contact.
The Main contact indicates that he/she is the Primary POC of the Account. This can be seen when you create an appointment from the Account. The Main contact will get added to the Appointment automatically. You will also have the option to add other contacts as well when you create an appointment.
The same applies when you are sending a mail from the Account, the Main contact will be the default recipient which will be determined without any manual action.
This will not have any other impact. The behavior of the contacts will always be the same.
Best Regards,
Arun

Hello Arun,
thanks for the response. My question did not refer to the the Main mark of the contacts in the account. My question is in reference to the main mark of the personal addresses inside the object contact. What impact has the main mark, if it's set in one personal address?
Best regards,
Deborah
Hello Deborah,
The Main mark in the address does not have any specific significance on the system function. It just serves as a reference.
By default, the system will always consider the business address of the contact in the transaction documents.
The main mark will serve as a reference if any of the agents want to contact the CP of the Account and there are multiple personal addresses available.
Best Regards,
Arun
