When i completely remove catalog from hmc, i expect the data file size to be reduced but it is increasing heavily. Suppose if my catalog size is 4GB, and datafile size is 6GB, If i delete the catalog to reduce datafile size, it started increasing up to 8GB. I could observe the main contributors for increasing the datafile size are props, savedvalues and INDEXUPDATES. I don't find any other reasons. Could you please help me to find out other contributors ? Is there a way to stop increasing the datafile size and decrease it's size (apart from db restore)?
